Some of the descriptions of the tours (on the Disney site) are rather vague. We did the Land tour at Epcot on our last visit. It was great...especially if you like gardening. Are there any others that are really worth it?

I guess it's a matter of opinion, but I really enjoyed the Keys to the Kingdom tour in March. I am a huge MK fan, and enjoyed hearing and seeing the different behind the scenes tidbits I learned about my favorite rides Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion. If you like the MK it's FUN, and as dvc members we get a discount, but the Disney Visa discount was bigger as I recall the CM telling me.

The Wild Africa Trek was amazing. I loved it. I did it in March but have been a bit delinquent in getting my TR up. I'm hoping to get it started this weekend.

We decided to start small last year by taking the tour of the "land" in Epcot. They gave us a behind the scene tour of the ride that shows the different ways they grow the plants, vegetables, and they even harvest fish for some of the dining around EPCOT.
It was a couple hours, and we enjoyed it. It was very inexpensive and we used our disney visa because we hadn't purchased our DVC contracts yet. I don't think I'd do it again, but I enjoyed it the one time.

We've done the Keys to the World tour too and highly recommend it. In June we're doing the EPCOT Undiscovered Future World Tour.

I think the tours are worth it if you really live the idea of the tour and it gives you a unique experience.
The 2 Hour Segway tours were a lot of fun, but it's been a few years for us. We've done the Epcot one twice and would enjoy the Ft Wilderness one. However, we went to Mt Dora, about an hour away, and had a 2 hour Segway tour for half the Disney price and were given more leeway. It wasn't Disney, but it was Segway! The Wild Africa Trek is very well done and you won't see the animal Savannah in any better way than that tour. I think it's a bit pricey now, but if you can get a good deal that gets it $150 - $175, I think it would still be worth it. The other Animal Kingdom tours (Wild By Design and Back Stage Safari) are excellent if you love animals, want to know about the design of the Animal Kingdom and like the AK in general. Can't comment on other tours, but I personally want to do the Magic of the Steam Trains tour and perhaps one of the MK tours. So, if you love Disney, I think they're worth it. Disney certainly won't make it feel like a waste of time. Dirk

Honestly, I haven't regretted any of the tours. I thought they were all worth it.

We just did Keys to the Kingdom at the beginning of April. It was excellent and very informative. I would recommend it for anyone interested in seeing the behind the scenes action at MK.
