Default Wild Africa Trek

Just booked an 8am Trek for my solo trip to WDW. Those of you who have done it, do you have any thoughts or suggestions?

-- Read description and reviews at allears.net
-- Do not watch Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!
-- As always, follow Cast Member instructions.
-- You will have a great time and be completely safe.

The wild Africa trek was one of our most favorite things we have ever done at Disney. Loved it so much, we are planning on doing it again in September.

The private safari truck and yummy food overlooking the safari were icing on the cake.

Every one says take an early tour, but we took the 1:00 tour. It was great. It was a nice time for the African snacks at the end of the tour.

Our son's roommate was one of the guides for that tour until he left the company last summer. We did it a few years ago and thought it was very interesting and fun. Worried a bit about the rope bridge across the crocodiles, but managed to get across without any problem. We did a tour later in the afternoon, so our food was more in line with lunch/dinner. I understand the earlier tours have food more along the line of breakfast. The food was very good. Make sure you meet weight limits, age limits and don't have too much you need to carry (they won't let you carry anything without it being attached to your vest).

I am unequivocally and unabashedly NOT a rule follower. But there are times I follow rules...and this would be one of those.

Cheers.

We have done the 8am tour. It was wonderful!
As others have said, just do what they say and you will love it.

They take wonderful pictures throughout the trek so no need to worry about a camera which would have to be tethered if you did.
Have fun with it.
They do a group shot in the beginning of the Trek.
We were all quite ďanimatedĒ with it. Jungle pose!

They have lockers at the start for all your personal items. Purse, phone, keys etc.
They do weigh you in and are discreet about it.

I know I was freaking a little about doing the rope bridge, but did just fine. Another demon slayed!

No fear you will be in great hands from start to finish!

P.s
Oh, and the best part of the Trek early is being able to arrive at AK early!
They meet you at the gate and escort you in.
It is amazing walking thru an empty park.
Although that was before Pandora, it may not have that same feel with all the early park openings they are having.
