Default 1st Trip to Hilton Head-coming in July

Super pumped to say we just made reservations for Hilton Head Island this July! We've never stayed there or visited before and looking forward to finding out what its like to do a Disney resort without the parks! It was surprisingly busy on the calendar but we got lucky and our days came open at the 7-month window. Anyone with experience at HHI in the summer, we're open to suggestions on things to do while visiting. We'll be there for one week, then head further south to the FL beaches for another week.

We went in August one year and spent the majority of time over at the beach. We rented bikes and would bike over and back, although did take the shuttle once or twice. The pool was great too for just hanging out.

Not sure if you have kids but mine enjoyed the craft activities at the resort as well as the campfire at night.

Forgot to mention - our kids will be college age this trip! Hoping the beach isn't too far away - we're used to being right on the beach & short walk.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with HHI in the summer. We go every Thanksgiving. But I'm right there with you at being super-pumped. I just came from making our reservations for our 14th Thanksgiving. Let the countdown begin! Hope you love it at least half as much as we do.

Default HHI is Awesome

HHI is fantastic in the summer, although extremely hot and humid.

walking distance to bars and restaurants.

we were there in June, we had a heat index on 105 the one day.

here's a link to our tour and review of Disney HHI Resort.

We are owners and have been going the past few summers. Simply a beautiful and relaxing spot. No need to make plans - just enjoy it.

The lack of planning needed is really nice. We're in the early stages of planning a trip to WDW. Which park which day? Where to eat? When? What kind of ticket to get? I'm exhausted already!
