Default Thanksgiving Family Reunion - We're Going Back!

Six months after the big move from GA to OK, I finally booked our next trip to Orlando! It will be a dozy of a trip. We are renting a six bedroom house to share with parents, siblings and their families for Thanksgiving week 2019. And maybe few cousins - on these kinds of trips, I'm never quite sure who might show up. DD and DH have been amazed at how much happier I've been since we confirmed the trip.

Trip Countdown - - starting at 308 days today.

I've no idea how much (or how little) we will squeeze into this trip. It might turn into hanging at the house with family. But DD wants to go ride dragons (FoP) and DH wants to check out Star Wars Land so I'm hopeful for some Disney time.

Sounds like a nice time, if a lot of sharing in that house, haha. Enjoy.

Since our mom passed my siblings and I have had annual vacations together the week of her birthday. Spouses donít always come. We come and go as we please during the week but we always do a memorial at her grave site on her birthday. Sometimes nieces and nephews are there, other times not, but itís a family tradition we started to try to stay in touch, despite our differences and family feuds. It has worked out much better than I thought it would.

Have fun! I am the planner in our group, thanks to my experience with DVD.

Have a great trip!!!

Big family trips take a lot of work and a lot of patience, but can be so rewarding in the end!

I cannot wait to read your trip report, Amy!! This sounds like such an epic family trip, what a great time that will be. A big family trip like that is something I've always dreamed of doing!

Glad to see you are still posting here!

Thanks - it feels like a very long time since our last trip, even if it has only been a little over six months.

I'm so looking forward to going back to Orlando. DH has been teasing me; he says (rightly) I'm much happier now that I've a trip to plan. And only 285 days to go, but hey, who's counting????

OTOH, I am also excited about a different trip for a very different reason. I've booked the last week of Feb in Branson, MO. It will be my first time there. It is a bit of a working trip, as I'm taking 4 days to focus on writing & editing/posting some videos for my channel. Ironically, I'm going to MO to work on FL trips!! Silver Dollar City won't be open yet for the season, but it looks like there will be plenty to explore. DH and DD will join for part of the trip, so I'm sure we'll find something fun to do.

Enjoy Branson! Weíre only about 4.5 hours from there and used to go often. If you get the chance, go back at Christmas once they have the lights up. Itís not Disney, but itís really pretty!
