We used SIXT once... It was a prepay deal and when we got there we were told the car class we had reserved was not available on this special?? Really? They created the reservation specifics, not us. The car class was important to us because a small sedan was not going to work for our travel plans. They would not budge on giving us what we reserved (car type clearly spelled out on the reservation document). But, they did provide a vehicle a tad bit larger and acted like they were doing us a favor. It took another 45 minutes for the “upgrade” paperwork to be finalized before we were on our way.

Never again!

Since when? They are a European based company https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sixt.

I first used them a couple years ago on a DL trip. They had the best deal on a Van and it was the Mercedes passenger Van. It was a great opportunity for us since we were considering purchasing one. That aside, we received fantastic service and was a great deal over all other options out of LAX.

We have been customers ever since. When we need and they are available, we use SIXT.

All four MCO rentals had between 7,000 and 12,300 miles while the Miami rental had almost 22,000 miles and wasn't that clean.

If it's a short vacation then consider using onsite companies like Alamo as once we had to wait 15-minutes for a SIXT courtesy bus and as we were last off had to wait behind 3-other customers and there was only one agent at the desk on that occasion; so if you do use SITX try sitting near the front of the bus.

Found it easy to return and if you need to fill up there's a WAWA filling station around a mile away at 6500 S Semoran Blvd and there's always been a courtesy bus waiting to return to the airport.

Good luck with getting a good rate.

Thanks!

That reminds me of a time when we used to rent from a Dollar location closer to WDW. We were promised one car and got the "hamster" car! 😂 It was run down and so loud. They had nothing else for us, or so they claimed. Never went back there!
