So, I do kinda laugh when people say the cabins are making studio availability hard, since I own a GW studio and have only stayed one night in a studio so far. Guess I'm an aberration.

Super private, very high end finishes. The screened porch/hot tub was fantastic - there's a big picnic table and 2 rockers for the whole family to hang out. We literally watched HEA fireworks from our hot tub, with music piped in. Living the dream

Sounds excellent.

I would try as soon as you can. Definitely worth it.
Good luck. Hope you get it !

Just stayed in our favorite BWV 3 BdRm Grand Villa as we have many times. Totally worth the points. Totally worth making the 11 month 8AM phone call.

Default DVC online booking and phone booking times

I have two questions about booking online versus calling DVC and booking.

11 month or 7 month:

Booking online opens at 8am? CORRECT?

Phone call booking opens at 9am? CORRECT?

The reason I am asking is I am trying to get AKL value 2 bedroom in July of 2020 for three nights. I own at AKL. Just to get back into the booking mode I checked today at 7:54 and it seemed to be able to book 11 months out which was June 2020. I thought it was 8am can anyone clarify. By the way the value 2 bedroom it was booked at 7:54 at the 11 month mark. I know I have to be on at the minute it opens which I will be just need to know the exact time it opens so I have a fighting chance to get the value. I will even take it numerous days ahead of time and call to walk it up that way I have several shots at the booking window. I will start a week in advance to increase my odds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on when the online booking ACTUALLY opens for DVC.

Best,
Rob

Log into your DVC account (on phone) - find the dates you are interested in - check availability, when your phone gets to 8:00:00 you can proceed -
In my experience, It is faster to book on phone than on a PC - and unless there is a need for MS waiting till 9am just wont work very well at 7 month mark

The online system lets you go thru searching for the room but if you had attempted to go thru to select contracts and finalize it would have told you that you were not authorized if you had done so before 8am eastern. You can search on any resort room at 11 months even if you don't own there. But booking won't be allowed until the booking fits the parameters of the rules.
