Fabulous pictures! I'm in!

I completely agree with your observations about there being absolutely no shade and it being so hot in TS Land. There is no place to escape the heat or even to sit down. Landscaping is "rough" but isn't it supposed to look like Andy's backyard and we are supposed to be the size of toys? It sure is pretty at night though.

Yes no benches, and no escape from the sweltering heat. The vibe I got was more county fair or carnival, sort of like Dinoland. I did not like the landscaping, It felt cheap. I would have preferred flower beds and water features. JMO of course.

I found the area as a love-hate. I did love all the fun stuff added, but hated that the area felt more like a "regular" theme park. I also felt that the area didn't feel complete and needed more.

Great pictures! You really capture the vibrance of TSL. Actually, it looks even better from my air conditioned home than it did in person. When we were there in July/August, I was melting too much to really take in TSL. Your pictures have me excited to return.

Thanks!

That parade performer, wow, shame there’s not a way for you to share that picture with her.

Parks were pretty empty compared to usual. I was at Epcot one night and park was desolate for Illuminations. MNSSHP was very uncrowded also. CMs said it was much quieter than usual. Works for me.

The week before we left we were worried that Florence would wreck the trip. Then a few days before we worried that it would delay flights. As it turned out, it had no effect on our trip.

Weather was very hot the entire trip but, as I said, rain for about five minutes. The weather Gods really smiled upon us.

Tried the Sweet and Spicy Chicken and Waffles at MK. Pretty good but not enough chicken.

Pork Belly Burger on Cosmic Ray's secret menu was very good. Probably the best thing to eat in MK.

Had dinner at Kona Cafe one night. We like to order a bunch of appetizers and make that the meal. Always good there.

Up! Bird show is pretty much the same as the old bird show but with the dopey Up! characters.

CMs were amazing to us this trip. There were a few magical instances, but I'll just recount one. We wanted to buy a set of Halloween dolls in MK, but they were out of Goofy, so they tracked down some at the Disney Florist. But Disney Florist charges more, has a delivery charge, wrapping charge, etc., so it winds up costing twice as much. Long story short, they arranged to have Goofy shipped to Pop!...wait for it......at no charge. No charge for shipping, the doll or the candy they included with it! Gotta love the pixie dust.
