![]() What was your favorite “extra” thing you ever paid to do at Disney and why? Was it a fireworks cruise, dessert party, holiday party (MVMCP / MSNNHP), special tour…etc…

![]() We do one each big family trip. We have enjoyed them all. Really liked Savor the Savanah and the Highway in the Sky Dine Around (pilot phase which was much less expensive). Both times, we met other guests who we hit it off with and that really enhanced the experience. The guide can make all the difference, too. We did a birthday party on the private yacht, Grand 1. That was amazing!
Unfortunately for our next big trip in January, all the VIP tours are paused except for the last two days. We were able to book the AK Ultimate Nights of Adventure. Hoping it’s worth the cost. |

![]() The Villains Party was awesome- very well done. The defunct Segway Tour was great. Bass fishing was fun even at 7 in the morning. I loved the 24 hour event-didn't cost anything but it was great fun.
I regularly go to MNSSHP and MVMCP and don't even consider them add-ons. They are must-dos for me if I am there.

![]() MNSSHP hands down. MVMCP is good too! I would not do the Sunrise Safari again, but it was good to do it one time. The desert party is way over rated.

![]() For me, it is a toss-up between MNSSHP and the Marceline to Magic tour. I've done MNSSHP twice--once when my son was 2 (just the two of us) and just last year (with DH, DS8, and DD3 along with our Disney travel buddies). It is just so much fun with the kids. One of my favorite Disney memories is doing the dance party in Tomorrowland and DD was feeling the music so much that she twirled around, threw off her Mickey ears and tossed them across the dance floor!) I don't think I would do it again without kids (I'm just not a Halloween person... but I think I would like to do the Christmas party with just DH).
The Marceline to Magic tour was everything a true Disney fan would love. I loved the history and learning more about Walt, learning more in-depth and background info about some rides and the Imagineers who worked on the rides, and of course, going backstage a little bit. I got a new appreciation for Haunted Mansion and it's now one of my favorite rides. Like everything else at Disney, the CM who did the tour really made it the best. You could really feel her love of Disney. PS - i just read your entire TR thread from your Disney Cruise and loved it! I know it's a few years old, but I learned so much! We are doing our first cruise next April and I'm trying to do as much research as possible. |

Oh! Thanks so much! It is a few years old but I would imagine that some of the info is still valid and helpful. We only did one cruise and I sure hope we can do another one someday ![]()

![]() I have done Wishes and Gslactic Spectacular dessert parties and neither were worth the money IMO.
