By 1/3.the crowds will have already have peaked. It will still be busier then most times of the year. SWGE will still be jammed packed, especially with Star Wars being in the theaters and all of the attractions will be open too. Epcot and AK will be less crowded then DHS.
Thanks Tom! That is what I've been thinking. Just a little nervous about SWGE spill over into resorts/parks. Looking forward to the planning thread.

It varies.....In the past, we would either hit MK or EP. We used to hit Epcot in the earlier years, but have shifted to Magic Kingdom more recently. Our routine has been to go to DHS on the 31st and MK on the 30th.

This year, there are only four of us going, which is the smallest amount of people ever. It will be Robin & I and our DD and oldest grandson (5). Because of SWGE and only the four of us, we might hit Epcot this year for the 31st. We are staying at BLT, so that might factor into our final plans too. Plus, we are 8 months out...DD plans could change and we could end up a party of 3 or 5.......you never know?

We do fireworks at MK on the 30th, and Epcot on NYE. IMO, the MK fireworks are better, so we try to watch both shows on the 30th, and this year, will try to watch the early show on the 31st at MK, then catch the midnight ones at Epcot.

It makes for a very long night and can be quite tiring. Make sure you have ADRs booked. You do not want to do quick service, and you won't be able to get a last minute reservation anywhere. You will be grateful to have a place to sit for an hour or two to eat and get some rest.

Be prepared for a very long ride back to the resorts at midnight, especially on NYE. A resort you can walk back to is obviously best. Monorail is 2nd best option, as I have heard the roads are gridlock (never had to experience this fortunately so no first hand experience). Skyliner will probably be a game-changer this year so it might even be worthwhile booking a night at CBR on NYE just to avoid the roads.
