Default Halloween party question #2

Has anyone stayed in the park who hasn't payed for the ticket.
Just to stay for parade and fireworks. No rides, picture, trick or treating.

I know you need a band to get in any ride. I'm not interested in the rides. Just the fireworks.

Without the wrist band, you will be asked to leave by CM in suits.

My only experiences are with MVMCP and the MM parties. But in those instances, CMs are actively looking for armbands and directing anyone who doesnít have one to the exit. They have also started closing the parks at 6pm to regular day visitors to ensure that only party ticket holders get to experience the party. Iím sure that people have done it, but the CMs are trying to police it better.

The CM are very aggressive in checking to make sure each and every person (including small children) has a wristband beginning at 7pm. Can't enter QS without nor the bathrooms. And they do this for hours until they're sure no one without a wristband is still there. We buy the tickets and honestly after a while it gets a little annoying needing to make sure the wristband is visible on each member of our party every 20-30 feet.

I don't mean to imply that the CM aren't polite, they are. They're clearly trying to uphold the integrity for those who bought tickets and you'll be escorted out of the park beginning the moment it is 7pm. I don't see a way to hide out 3 hours for fireworks nor would I think it's ethical. You can see the fireworks from TOTWL.

Yes you can see from towl. Have done it many times.
And sorry it sucks. It looks cool. But happily ever after is pointless up there.

But all good about the bands. Just wondering. Haven't done it in years.

This is why I quit going to the parties. Freeloaders, like this post suggests doing, made it incredibly crowded for the parade and fireworks!

I understand Disney has improved, but it left a bad impression the last time I went.

I went the fall that 7D opened and after 7pm the CM were checking diligently to the point when 1 passed I would flash my band so they would stop offering to help me. The park cleared out quickly, I must say!

Been to two parties in the last two years and I didnít see the freeloader issue at all. There may be a few but not enough to make it crowded. Thatís come from Disney selling more tickets and also I think more people have become interested in the parties over the years as places like this and others have spread the word about them. We kind of helped ruin a good thing ourselves lol

Since we usually do Christmas, even if the weather is cooler and we have on long sleeves, we just push the sleeve up on the side with the armband. It makes the band more visible and the CMís just nod to us as we walk by. Even though it can be a bit of a pain at times, I really appreciate the fact that they are trying to maintain the party for the paid guests. Hubby and I will be doing this again in November. Love the Christmas Party!

It's been probably over 5 years since I went but all around me on the sidewalk for the Christmas parade were families who had just camped out after the park closed. One of the dads told me I was stupid to pay since "you can just hang out, we do every year" After the parade I went to guest services, filed a complaint and have never gone back.
