Those two parts are easy. It's a functioning Disney website that's the problem.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Sounds like the only way to guarantee entrance is having a qualifying resort reservation. It will be on a night of MNSSHP which I've heard tends to increase traffic at TOWL, meaning that CMs might be less likely to just let it go this one time. So on to plan B ...

Next best place to watch the fireworks from outside the park? I'm thinking:
1) the beach at the Poly (do they play the music there?). 2) The lounge at Cali Grill, but I'm not sure how crowded it would be, so access might be limited. 3) the viewing deck at the Contemporary near the BLT walkway (do they play the music there?)

Suggestions/feedback welcomed. I'll be with a group of about 3-4 other people from my work that don't do Disney regularly, so would like to have an option that doesn't require a bunch of crazy failed attempts leading to plans C, D, E ...

You can actually stand out in the area in front of the tapstiles and have a pretty good view. You can't see the castle projections, but you get a good view of the fireworks and can hear the music.

It's in the area where they used to do bag checks. It's now completely open.

Your other issue is parking at BLT/CR. DVC says you must use Disney transportation when you visit TOTWL and not park at the resort unless you are a guest of the resort.

Yes - they play the music - plus you get to see the electric water pageant

I don't remember sound on the beach at Poly. We watched from there in May 2017. We stayed at BLT a few years ago and had first room off skyway bridge and, yes, they pipe in the sound there.

I'd be inclined to go to Cali Grill bar and have some sushi and drinks and then go out on viewing deck for fireworks.

California Grill痴 lounge would be my vote. Tell them you値l be ordering some drinks and some appetizers and they値l let you in almost definitely.

It will still depend on capacity . If they don't have lounge or bar seating available, they'll make you wait.

We've gotten up for lounge seating by checking in at the podium earlier in the day (I forget when they open) or by calling and asking to be transferred to the Podium. They've occasionally jotted us down (we were 6 people). For one or two, it may just be a matter of waiting for a few minutes for the bar to clear.

Yep, very good point. I知 almost always just the one or two.

I was there last night, a MNSSHP night and the fireworks were outstanding!
They scanned my magic band and up my guest and I went. It was more crowded than I have seen on a HEA night but not crazy.
