We always prefer on property. It just feels so much more “Disney” and the additional perks, fast passes, extra hours, etc are always worth it to us. We do stay at a different timeshare occassionally off property and it always reminds us why we love on property so much better!

I would do the 2 bedroom onsite. We stayed with 3 adults, 3 children under 10 just for an add on night at AoA and it was too cramped for us. I could not stay there that long.

Another vote for on-site here. If DVC is too much perhaps they could look into two adjoining rooms? We did this at VWL pre-DVC ownership and it gave us the 2 bathrooms and 4 queen size beds. DD was very young at the time and actually slept in the pack-n-play. No kitchen of course but for 4 days I think this would be a better option than staying off-site.

We went with my parents we stayed on property for the reason of when they wanted to go back to the room to rest they could. We also ate breakfast in the room most days and had sandwiches on days we came back to relax in between parks. We booked two rooms, we didn’t stay dvc that time. With one room we bought the dining plan. It worked for us because we shared the food at quick service and at some of the sit down meals (character buffets) my parents paid for themselves. At other restaurants I would order what my dad would like on the dining plan and my mom and I like smaller amounts so we ordered apps or a dish to share. This was a few years ago though so I know the dining plan prices are higher.

Make sure when figuring out your prices for everything you figure in parking and if staying off property and if you are going to use Uber you can precheck the price to get an estimate.

I hope you have a wonderful trip. My kids still talk about their trip with their grandparents.

Someone was correct about BWV only having studio lock-offs but it still will
provide 2 real beds, a king and a queen, 2 sleeper sofas and 2 full bathrooms.

I know you said premium but considering that they could pay less at OKW or SSR standard and get 3 real beds and 2 bathrooms and be on-site. They could even book Sunday-Thursday and save points by avoiding the weekend premium. Park the car at the door/building.

We have stayed off-site plenty in the past and it is less than magical. I'd much rather stay anywhere DVC or even value resort than off-site again.
On-site for sure. We stayed off-site a couple of times years ago when the kids were young. Then we tried staying on-site and never looked back. There is truly something to be said for being "in the bubble" for your entire vacation.

Just like Tom alluded to, I would join Redweek, and rent a 2 or 3 bedroom at Bonnet Creek. Prices are great, location is "inside" the Disney bubble. They have buses that run decent (for a small fee). Pools/water areas are out of this world. My kids didn't want to leave. That's my opinion.

Just looked and there is a 3br rental for 7 days $1399, Steal.

Wow!!! That is a steal......That is pretty much the price my friends pay for their 3-bedroom at the resort. They also give the resort high marks.

FYI-That price is negotiable.....I would ask $1200 and see where it goes.

She went with the large rental house with a big pool. Eventually price won out over location. They rental house was less than half the price of a dvc for a week.

It is the right choice for them.
