There is nothing at all shocking about this. By 16 (and even before) kids know that the folks in the costumes are folks in costumes.

We did this and enjoyed it quite a bit. My niece is 13. We may have to do this again in 3 years. Just gotta teach her to pole dance in the meantime..

Do the tour! We’ve done the KTTK tour twice (separated by about 15 years) and loved it both times. The last time was just in October. We spent nearly an hour in the Utilidors, and walked a good distance in them. For us it did not in any way ‘ruin the magic’ - if anything, it enhanced it to see how smoothly things are planned.
