Default DVC Wine and Dine reg moved to March 12

Posting in case anyone else was on the button today at 12 noon.

I even postponed my drive to HH today in order to register.

Yesterday the website said registration today. Wonder what's up with that.

My thought was IT.

DH wondered if it has to do with the weather issues in the northeast and so many power outages and that perhaps they wanted to give all those people a fair chance to register.

Oh well, off to HHI!!

Now that they have moved this from the quite unique evening race to yet another mundane overpriced morning race, it's become yet another mundane overpriced morning race. We did it once in the evening (last time they did that) and now no reason to do it again.

Cheers.

I hope once the construction is done at the Studios they will be able to return it to an evening event. Of course it's possible that it messed with traffic too much and it's much easier to deal with a pre-dawn race.

I ran it for the first time in 2012...my first half marathon (or any race actually) ever...wanting to do something memorable for my 50th birthday. The night race was perfect, because my birthday fell at midnight during the course. Awesome!

LOL! Run Disney??? Giving people a "fair chance"?

Apparently you have not dealt with them much.

And honestly I think it took a LONG time to sell out last year. As BRP points out the change to just another overpriced morning run hasn't helped it at all.

The decision to move to night had nothing to do with construction etc... it had to do with $$$ If they do the race on one day and the after party that night it means you have to stay for an entire extra night.

But Disney is being incredibly vague with information on the fall events (no dates for Food & Wine yet for example) so who knows what they are up to.

The mystery continues. Today's postponement date for early reg has been postponed again. Tomorrow is supposed to be the regular registration date but that page hasn't been updated yet.
