Directly.....No.

DVC members are only paying for the use of transportation, not new vehicles......buses, boats, monorails.

Well I hope they can get the new ones and humid and strange smelling as what we have now......love the monorail. We Uber to a resort just to use the monorail, even if it takes longer

We were just at Disney last weekend for our birthdays, and we experienced our first real monorail issue transferring from MK to Epcot. We were waiting to leave the station, and waiting and waiting.... Seems another monorail up ahead had issues and they were waiting to clear it. After about 20 mins, they opened up the doors and gave everyone the option to leave and take a bus. We did - took a cab while everyone else was waiting.

We only ran into trouble with the monorails once. We got stuck on a train for about 20-25 minutes on the 4th of July while trying to get back to MK from Epcot in time for fireworks. We were sweating it, and not just from the heat. Luckily, we made it there in time. As we passed BLT, I looked up at the balconies and told the kids, "if we ever pull a crazy stunt like this again, we will be staying there" ! I still see another July 4th trip in our future someday. And I will cry and get a TPV room so that we don't have to stand on Main Street in the sea of humanity.

We enjoy the monorail and have never had any 'real' problems (some slowing - some waiting - some no show). Still a newer vehicle would be appreciated.

But the world kept modernizing after it!

I haven't followed the conversation closely enough to understand (and it's not my field by an stretch), but after reading posts by those more familiar with engineering and WDW's system, I got the impression that their current safety system is also incompatible Bomardier's trains, which means ( I think), something will have to be adapted bigly or the "recently modernized" system scrapped for an even newer one.

Ah, Disney! Circles within circles. Riddles wrapped in enigmas.

Meanwhile, no confirmation that anything is actually happening, and suggestions that if it does, it would be half a decade or more before the entire fleet was replaced.
