Drywall should start Sat or Mon though.
... sorry about inspection Dave ... it's sad when the ole saying is true ..."If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself" ....plus those areas with more insulation than required must have threw them a curve

The good news is that gives me a few weekends to do other things, like design and get started on some cabinets.
Yeah, thats a lotta drywall. Glad I'm not moving it!
Now your talking Dave ... Yep a lot of drywall

We'll see which one I get to first, but I'll certainly let you know, Jeff.

Agreed, Patriot was a great movie.
Sounds good Brian. I'll start saving now

Ok... more correctly, I love visiting and eating in Brasil.
The last time I went (too long ago) I went out with Brasilian colleagues many times. As I recall, the one steakhouse we went to was about 20 Reais. The salad/market/pasta bar was included, of course. Then there was the beer, and the caipirinha. More than one beer as I recall, since we were there for a good 3+ hours. Naturally, the bill was a LOT more than 20 reais per person by the time the evening was over. The good news was that an evening of delicious food and drink cost about $20 USD. Had a little bit of sticker shock at the one I went to in the US!

One of the most amusing parts of dinner was the translating. I was in Indaiatuba, which is more or less a small town a couple hours from Sao Paulo. Not a lot of english-speaking people there, except my Brasilian colleagues, of course.

The servers would come to the table with a skewer of meat and ask, in Portuguese, if we wanted some of whatever it was. Naturally, we (my Korean colleague and I) would ask what IT was. Now, these are people who speak English very well for the most part. However, they all were apparently absent on "parts of a cow" day in English class.
"What is this?"
*blank stares*
*looking at each other with blank stares*
*looking for a picture of a cow to point*
"ummm.... beef... "
That's funny, and one hell of a deal!!

And yes, that it one heck of a lot of drywall!

Do Brazilian cows say "moo eh?"

And most importantly, how do you collect bull semen..and would you want the job?
I think there may have been an episode of Dirty Jobs on that topic. I'm hoping that collection process has been automated in some way.

Haha, Mel Daniels doesn't sound like a great basketball name. Was he good? Sounds more like a game show host!

Mornin all! A few more days before our first XC meet! DD is getting excited. Last night was a tough practice. Hills! As much as I'm sure the kids don't like it, it is what gives us an advantage over a lot of the others. We have lots of hills around us. Anyway, my favorite time of the year.

Fall ball starts for DS too. First games on the big field. Hope to catch a game or two.

Back to work. Have a great day!

Fiberglass. There's some spray foam in critical spots. That stuff is ridiculously expensive, and I've got enough insulation on the exterior that the bang for the buck isn't there to do more.

Yeah, more than double cost wise, good luck with the drywall, sounds like interior finishes coming soon, I'm enjoying following along.

You would think an engineer, living in a trailer, with no TV, and an internet connection would figure out how to find a picture hosting site
