Im here now, have been since Saturday. Tonight while standing in line for ice cream the person behind me was the very first American. I have been in the presence of hundreds of folks, only ONE family from this country.

Yet DVC is at 99% occupancy, rental market must be better than Barb thinks!

My 11 year old daughter even made a comment about all foreigners here.

With that being said, if Americans arent coming to Disney and spending money, it seems Disney's success or failure is directly linked to the power of the dollar. If they need foreign money to survive, the next crisis could very well hurt Disney financially.

What say you?
Let me take this one.......

There is a ring around the earth, let's call it the equator.

On the other side of said ring, it is Summer.

On either side of said ring there is no school during Summer.

No school on other side of ring, wile there is school on our side of the ring=Tourists from other side of the ring.

With regard to cooking the books or spinning the results, of course the CEO is going to put the best possible face on something.

However, given Disney's quarterly reports, stock price, and revenue, earnings, etc., plenty of investory believe there's more value to the company to be had and are thus buying the stock.

They either see a well run company with room for growth, or a well run company capable of addressing any concerns to the investors profit.

The real question is why are we making assumption about the health of the company based on one data point from one visitor known for Disney dissatisfaction arising from a comment by his daughter in one park?

That's a pretty good answer for this thread.

Yep, after I posted, I thought "Because it's the internet, dummy!"

There's still something amusing about not trusting facts and figures based on a single anecdotal data point!! But, it is the internet!
