Sat on hold with Disney Dining for 43 minutes only to be told they won't accept reservations until 9am. A quick message stating that in their hold recording would have been nice.

But had you gotten another CM you would have been able to book what you wanted.

And they are booking events that are NOT advertised. So basically you call, spend a LONG time on hold and then you and the CM try to figure out what's offered during your stay

I have a BCV reservation during Food & Wine. For the first time in my life I am tempted to rent because I don't think the hassle this year is worth the reward.

They are booking the lunches, Parisian breakfasts etc... but your guess is as good as anyone as to dates etc...

Not to add insult to injury, because I do feel for you... but all the material I saw on this including the Disney website did say 9am for bookings.

I was lucky enough to get to someone within a few min and yes... per CarolA they are booking all the luncheons and such but it does take a bit of time to wade through the days they are running as they seem to be tweaked a bit this year.

I booked the Tutto Gusto Luncheon (only the 2nd time going) and the Tequila Luncheon (our 1st time!).

Looking forward to the fall already!

But a friend posted on Facebook that she booked at 7 AM for the Parisian Breakfast (and she lives in Atlanta so that was 7 AM eastern)

The Tequila lunch was very good when I did it.

However, since Disney is keeping the offerings a secret I decided to pass on booking them. Looking at some other festivals this year instead of Disney.

I called right at 9AM Eastern and was on hold for maybe 1 minute following the usual "Welcome Home" and information about the sold-out After Hours event. It took 18 minutes total to book a culinary demonstration (got the DVC discount) and a beverage seminar (no discount).
I didn't bother to ask what unadvertised events were available.

I'm one that usually defends Disney but I got to say they've been doing this for 20 years and you would have thought they would of figured out a decent system of releasing info and making reservations. Maybe this is where the phrase to "Mickey Mouse" something came from.

The good news is we were able to book PFTS, Sunday brunch with a chef and even the lunch pairings we wanted. Of course we needed to use the super secret insider method to book the lunches. If you were wondering what the super secret insider's method was, it was to ask the CM even though they weren't listed on any site we could find.

Honestly, I must have had bad calling in karma (kind of like bus arrival karma) as I called back right at 9am on the dot. I was on hold 53 minutes! Here's hoping I got my bad karma out of my system and trip will run smoothly. By the way, did get what I wanted, just a culinary seminar, so that's good.

I called MS about 1:00. I was able to schedule a brunch, a lunch and two demonstrations. All went well. My only frustration was that I will not be there for some of the events that I would have liked to attend. Boo-boo!!
