Default Costumes for MNSSHP

We are going for the first time and we were wondering how many people wear costumes.

LOL. Thanks. Would you say that would be 50%, 25%, 10%. Most of the people? Would we look odd if we didn't wear a costume?

I donít wear a costume. Though I always look odd...

Iíd say itís a decent percentage who donít. You shouldnít feel out of place. Do whatever you please.

We did our first one last year, and I think maybe 25-35 percent had on costumes. Not sure, but we saw some cool ones. I would've totally worn some SW outfits, but it was HOT. DD had brought an outfit and decided not to wear it, but once she saw others, she knew she could have and not felt out of place. However, it's a very long night, and tons of walking, and we wanted to ride stuff, so be prepared. Comfort still important , esp if a full night.

I did see LOTS of folks with matching or very cute Halloween/Disney shirts. If we do it again, we'd def make sure to have something creative. halloween themed for shirts. Like this past year (not for the party) we wore Inside Out shirts, that would've been cute too for the party, even if not spooky.

Gosh, I loved the party so much more than I expected to. Have fun!!!!

sorry. I couldn't resist.

I've never been to a halloween party, so I honestly don't know.

I will say from pictures I've seen, it would appear that you won't feel out of place either way.

It really probably depends if you count all of the T-shirts that say "This is my costume" as a costume. I would say 25-30% have pretty decent costumes and another 25%-30% have something but didn't really put a lot of effort into it.

Whatever you decide to do is fine.

We have been twice so far and not worn costumes and did not feel out of place.
There are those who go all out. Velvet costumes and all, they must die from heat! We saw a great queen of hearts and jack sparrow etc. amazing!

All the kids are adorable of course!

We took our niece last year, we at least bought ears to wear ( my very first ever!).
She said she wished she had dressed up.

This year we all are traveling together with her family.
We are all costuming up to a degree.
I am of course channeling Judy Hopps.
My niece will be Minnie Mouse bounding. Her dad is going ďGoofyĒ, her mom is going as Merida etc.
DH will wear a Jack skellington T-shirt. And there you go.

It is fun! CMís are a blast at this event. Great energy abound.

No matter what you decide is fine. Just go, get some treats and have fun.

The Boo to You parade is the best! Choose the second one for lower crowds.

If you do costume up, choose a costume with weather in mind, getting on rides and of course the costume guidelines. It can be hot depending on your date.

Just do it!

We went last year and my kids dressed up and DH & I wore custom Halloween-themed shirts. I made my own ears that broke before we even got our wristband Our friends that went with us did not dress up at all. The ones who didn't dress up definitely didn't look or feel out of place.

I have found that 25%-35% of adults at MNSSHP will dress up. It is probably up to as much as 75% at DLR's MHP. That is probably due to DLR having more local guest.
