As we loved the SW VR experience, we prepaid to do wreck it Ralph at 7pm on the 28th. But a couple days prior they cancelled all evening wreck it Ralph’s and only had it during the day. They added all the SW back at night slots. So I guess the Disney springs evening crowd wasn’t really buying wreck it Ralph. They offered us a free photo if we came back another time. We passed and just did a refund. Maybe we can do it in the next few months when we are back.

We also did the Secrets of the Empire at DS last week...it was awesome! Having never seen anything other than PS VR I was hesitant to spend >$100 for 3 of us, but this experience was totally worth it. This was our first trip back to the World in over 3yrs and this was hands down the best attraction we experienced (sorry Avatar fans...that ride was a close second) Maybe we were just lucky, but we experenced no delay or issues with our 1pm adventure. Now if they could just create some new SW experiences beyond the current misssion they’d have a true money maker.

We totally want to try this! Did they group you with other people? How did that work out? This would be so much fun to try!

They set you up in teams of 4, but if you only have 3 and there are no single players you go with just your party. I personally think it was better with 3, but you need at least 2 to accomplish some of the tasks (1 to figure out the challenge and 1 to protect and hold off the waves of storm troopers). They send you a “bounty” score after you play, I’d be interested to know what the record # of storm trooper kills in a single mission is. It would be nice if they did a daily/monthly posting like on TSM.

Hi,
Bringing up this thread, as sure hope we can work this into a future trip, probably NEXT June, but had it on my mind today.
Is the gear going to be easily worn by 'small' kids??? Kids will be 13 and 15, but are short (my 15 year old is 4'9", and very small stature.
DS at this point is still one of the shortest kids in class, so just trying to get an idea if the gear is bulky, easily worn by kids, etc??
I sure hope we can do this. We're 'hoping' to make next June a 2 wk trip, so looking for a few different things to do, outside of the parks

Can those Stormtrooppers shoot more accurately than the ones we know and love?

best,

...........john

We took our 8yr old son who is only 4’ 3” and he was able to enjoy the mission without any problems at all. They made us sign a waiver because he was under 10yrs old, but everyone has to sign waivers to participate and that is standard legal procedure for any sort of physical activity these days. I think the whole setup with backpack and headset weighs ~12-15lbs. The headset is big, but if our skinny 8yr old could handle it, I’m sure your teenager will be just fine. It was kind of funny for us to see him in VR all decked out as a mini storm trooper. Just kept us thinking of the “Aren’t you a little short for a storm trooper.” line.

I would think they would be just fine but I am guessing that it would fit loosely. There is a vest, gloves, and a headset. Plan on going and just check with them. When we went, you could walk up and participate, so the need for lots of pre-planning (and ticket purchasing) is not necessary. At least, not back during the fist summer it was available.

My kids went 3 time and I went once. Really fun event, and it lasted longer than i expected. Think it took 15-20 minutes once in the event. What really hit me is that they used not just sight and sound, but feel and smell during the experience. Really well worth it. Wish the other VR stuff that company does was there too.
