Default Stinky Feet Policy at the Lounge

I'm sorry I couldn't find the previous thread where folks were lamenting people putting their stinky bare feet up on the furniture at the DVC Lounge at Epcot - I tried searching but couldn't locate it, but I have an update!

As we entered the lounge this week, we were told by two cast members that there is a new official policy that guests are no longer allowed to remove their shoes in the lounge. I was giggling, thinking of the funny comments people had posted here at MO about this very issue. Your voices have been heard!

My apologies if anybody already posted about this updated rule on the original thread - I couldn't find it.

Of course, sitting across from us in the lounge was a woman rubbing her bare feet all over the rug. She may have missed the memo.

And don't move the furniture. That's also the new policy relayed today.

We can make up shirts that say "I spent $30,000 on DVC and all I got was athlete's foot"

I think its amazing that either of the two would even be necessary to say. We (DVC owners) build our own reputation.

Actually, I take my shoes off when ever I can as my feet tend to hurt even when just wearing socks. I could easily see having bare feet when resting, but not putting them up on furnature; that would be rude.
