Default The things we do for our kids!

We are heading back to the world in July. My DD11 has been begging for years for us to get matching, personalized T-shirts to wear on vacation. I've resisted because, truthfully, I tend to cringe a little when I see families wearing them and I knew DH wouldn't go for it. Then, unbelievably, last week DD managed to get DH to agree to wear a matching T-shirt if I order them for us. (Luckily DS17 could care less as long as it's soft and comfortable. He has autism and the accompanying sensory issues so comfort is highly important!)

So...it appears I have a task to do. Without too much ragging or bashing , can anyone who has bought matching personalized Disney tees tell me where they got them? I need something that is soft and comfy and would prefer a cotton blend rather than 100% cotton.

Thanks!
Angie

We got the ones for our kids off of Etsy. Read the reviews to make sure people like them. Also, make sure to check the shipping time! Some of them can be 4 weeks or more. You can usually pay for “rush shipping” if need be.

I used Custom Ink online earlier this year. They have a good selection of t-shirt brands. It's pricey though to get a small order of custom shirts. I paid $75 for three shirts and I got the cheap ones.

Before that I would get matching tees from Target and print our own t-shirt transfers. Craft stores carry the iron-on transfer paper.

Another (more expensive) option would be the T-shirt store at DS. You can design your own and personalize them. Also, you could get the same design but in different colored shirts. That might make your daughter happy and make you cringe a little less. DH and I did this 3 years ago for our 25th anniversary. Same design, but different colors.

Just get some soft shirts and then get some invisible or cloaking thread and do the job yourself.

This is an excellent suggestion. The same design/diff color would certainly make it more palatable to me. You could probably even choose the same character in different poses to vary it a bit.

Oh, you must’ve mistaken me for someone who is craftsy.

OK, I really like this idea. We are going to DS our first day for dinner. How quickly can they personalize them? Is it something we could have done the same night or would we have to go back and pick them up a day or two later?

You use the little kiosks in the store to design the shirts. Shirts are hanging on racks in the various colors and sizes. IIRC, we took the shirts to the register and paid after we completed our designs at the kiosk. They were ready in less than an hour. It will vary depending on how busy they are. We went to dinner while we waited.
