Thanks for all of the great ideas! We will probably do only one park hopper day. MK in the morning then head over to Epcot for the Countries and Candlelight Processional. I think we will definitely check out all of the
monorail resorts decorations one day, then head over to BWV and BCV for another day. We will have car so I also want to check out AKL.

I am so excited about this trip!! It should be one of my good weeks so...
hopeful I can do it all. If not, I sit in the WL Lobby and relax, not so bad!

Thanks again...much love through the holidays!

Praying you have a good week for your trip and hope you get well soon. Reading this thread makes me want a Christmas trip! Hmmm.

Just wishing you all the best during your treatments. I personally like looking at the lobbies of the resorts. So if you are having a bad day and a little tired, that might be something you can do as well.

We have taken a day just to tour all of the resorts during the holidays. I agree with the others who have stated that the Gingerbread House at GF, the Chocolate Carousel at BC and the lobby of WL are not to be missed.

Hands down for me is the castle draped in icicle lights at MK. It is the best Christmas decoration in all of WDW IMHO. Another most people seem to love is the Christmas Tree Trail at DS at the Marketplace. It's located in the old bus stop loop behind the Christmas Store and Wolfgang Puck Express.

Best of luck with the remainder of your chemo and hope you have a magical and joyous trip.

I don't know, but it seems whenever I visit (afternoons generally), there is live music, especially during the holiday season.

I don't know their schedule but every time we eat at the Grand Floridian Cafe, usually around 7pm, the orchestra is playing and is followed or preceded by the pianist. It seems that they alternate during the evening hours. We love just wandering the lobby listening to the music and taking in the atmosphere.

I just looked it up... the orchestra plays at 3:45, 5:15, 6:25, 7:40 and 9:00 pm
and the pianist at 3:00, 4:15, 6:00, 7:10, and 8:20

Yup. Times may vary a bit, but the piano player and the orchestra switch off.

Definitely a favorite pastime of mine.

Don't forget to check OrlandoParkNews.com for the monthly Resort Activity Guides. Current activities list special Disney Bday Parties for Mickey Mouse on Nov 18 at some of the resorts.
Also in December the Grand Floridian has nightly holiday music with local church and school chorus performing. They also have bell ringers that perform. I plan to be there for the bellringers!

I would like to ask about the music that is broadcast on the busses. In years past, they would play specific music that matched the theming of the resort the bus was departing/arriving . And during the holidays it is changed to create the holiday era or theme. For instance: I saw Mommy kissing Santa Clause for POP Century and I want a hippopotamus for Xmas or All I want for Xmas is my 2 front teeth or granma got run over by a reindeer. You know All the Classics!
I will never forget the late night return , darkened bus to POP Century and everybody starts singing along to
Girls Just Want to Have Fun by Cindi Lauper !
