Default Just returned yesterday....March 2017 DW report

Disney trip March 2017

Big crowds….you know you are going at spring break….lots of people…please don’t complain that the parks are crowded…. I did get annoyed with the parents that woke up their sleeping child to watch the fireworks... and then the kid screamed through the whole thing.

Saratoga Springs - 2 bedroom villa (5 adults)

Our first time staying here (I do like Boardwalk better...)
Pros – close to Disney springs, secluded, didn’t see many people, stayed at Congress Park, my request was honored (1st floor near DS)
Cons – always a bus ride to somewhere, check windows to make sure they are locked especially if on first floor, in theory you can not walk on path to Congress Park from DSprings between dawn and dusk…but I did, master bedroom window looked like some kid had slobered on it – I was not thrilled with mousekeeping, I left tip for mousekeeping for trash and towel day (in an envelope marked “mousekeeping – thank you”)….they didn’t take it! Bell service got it when we left.

Garden Grocers - always a good thing...we fly from TX so having snacking items and drinks is great! I always buy too much stuff.....

Tables of Wonderland - It has paid for itself this trip...so now everything is "free".... Restaurants do change...so check to make sure when you make your reservations. DVC and annual pass helped out.

Gold Annual Pass – FABULOUS! Loved photo pass!! And park hopping. This worked well for my family (we will be going again next spring break)

Kids and DH stayed for extra hours at Epcot and MK..they loved it!

Chef Art Smith – good food, service good

Bongos – good food and service, live music was VERY loud – hard to hear people at our table talking during live music

Moriomoto – FABULOUS food and service – one of our best meals

Via Napplio – we go here for dinner and lunch meza pizza is our favorite – our first pizza had several pieces with no pepperoni on it…not cool. We asked for extra pepperoni for our lunch pizza…it was great! Service was wonderful

Rose and Crown – The only thing I have had here is the English Rose drink… I love it ( I could use one now....)

Be our Guest (lunch) – We ate in the dining room. Loved how “magic” brought our food. Yes we got the rose glasses….food was good. My DD loved the ham and cheese sandwich. I liked the French onion soup.

The Crystal Palace – food was ok, service was fabulous, character’s forgot our table…but our server went over and got them for us.

Shulas – food and service was wonderful ( I have used fabulous to often)

All in all a good trip - I have my calendar marked for when I can book for next year.....

Thanks for the TR!

we end up with leftovers from Garden Grocers, too...there's a facebook page called DVC freecycle that is designed to find a home for the leftovers.

Thank you for your Trip Report. I'm glad you braved the crowds so we didn't have to!!

So, you seriously bought TIW and it paid for itself on this trip? I see that you went to some very tasty spots but I didn't think the savings would add up so quickly!! Which discount did you use the most--DVC, AP or TIW?

Also...I was thinking about your trip.

You were using Gold Passes? Don't they have Spring Break as one of their Blackout Dates? If so, how were you able to use them?
