Default Now you can eat at Palo twice.

I got an email from DCL today saying if I book Palo for the first night of my cruise, I can make a second booking later in the cruise. Sounds good to me as I'd happily eat at Palo every night. My platinum booking window opens this month for our Canada cruise.

I'll give it a shot.

Is a second booking only available to Platinum members?

We just booked today for the 7-night Mexican Riviera/Halloween cruise out of San Diego next October. I'd love to eat at Palo twice; I thought it was tons better than Remy.

I agree. We enjoyed Remy on our first cruise on the Dream, but once was enough. We love Palo for both brunch and dinner. I think we ate there twice on our last cruise but the second visit was not booked in advance. We were able to get a second reservation same day.

It sounds to me like they are trying to drive some business to that first night. I know a lot of people don't want to book it that night do to concerns over getting their luggage, getting settled, getting the kids in the kids clubs etc.....So I guess they hope this will fill it up that night too.

No - it's for everybody. Tammy probably got the notice because she can book earlier than gold or silver. We could have done it on our cruise. Had I but known about Viry and Elvin . . .

I don't think Palo would sell out on opening night - as CarolA posted, people like to "bond with their servers" as a tourist to Pandora does with a banshee. I'm definitely over that . . . (servers, not banshees). This is Disney's way of getting people in there.

Oh, and congrats on booking!!

Dirk

I could eat at Palo's every night too and skip the dining rooms altogether.

I'm not there yet (I like Enchanted Garden and Royal Court), but I'm getting there. I'm certainly at the point where once in each is enough.

We've always been successful getting a second Palo on a mid-day walk-up basis. That being said, it's nice to have this formalized.

We are in Alaska on the Wonder in August. Two palo dinners and one Palo brunch -- which should be so much more interesting along the Alaskan shore than in the middle of the Caribbean -- booked. Can't wait!

Even when we have Palo, DW and I still got to the main dining room and have a glass of wine and visit with the kids while they dine. Then we dump them in the kids clubs and head for a fantastic evening.

Now, our walk up attempts will be for a third Palo dinner.
