Default Help me plan my New Years Eve (which park)??

Tell me what I need to know about New Years Eve. My husband and I are taking our 21 year old son and his friend(also 21) and our 16 year old daughter (and possibly her friend). We are interested in having a few drinks and seeing the sights. We may get a few FPs, but rides are not the focus. Maybe a dinner reservation...

What are you suggestions? Which park? Where to watch fireworks? Etc...

( I tried the search feature , but I can NEVER get it to work (probably user error)

I Spent NYE 2018 at HS - Dinner at Prime Time 50's - Park had a countdown but overall not a very festive atmosphere. I understand MK is absolutely jammed on NYE so I avoided going there. The weather was cold the entire week. I will also add the room reservations very tough to get - i stalked the RAT from Thanksgiving to X-mas - all I could get was SSR Preferred for NYE

I have never been to Disney for New Years Eve, but what about a stay at BLT with dinner reservations at the California Grill? That's something I want to do at some point.

I have been thinking about dinner reservations at California Grill just so we can watch the fireworks from their balcony. I wonder if that applies to New Years Eve????

I have also thought about booking BLT just so we can use the TOWL lounge....if any villas at BLT are available at 7 months. For now we are booked at our home resort SSR...

Ordinarily, you can return to the California Grill for fireworks if you ate dinner there earlier in the evening (bring receipt to show). However, I do not know if this applies to New Years Eve.

I'm sure someone here knows. Perhaps Master Goofygrl will be along.

No can do.....California Grill will be closed on NYE for a private event. Ticket prices are around $450 per ticket....I think.

We got to Cali Grill on Dec 30th and watch the fireworks at MK. MK does the same fireworks on the 30th as they do on the 31st, including the countdown to midnight.

We were at HS and actually had a lot of fun. We had dinner at Brown Derby and stayed for fireworks. They pass out hats and horns beforehand. Epcot and MK hit capacity last year.
