They are curently CM housing. Too small for DVC I'd think, plus those college program kids have to stay somewhere.

From what I have read, they moved the ICP kids out at the end of the year to other housing.

I don't think they would renovate (not just repair) the tree houses for the college program housing. If they do this much work it is either for a resort or DVC. [IMHO]

Those don't fit with the SSR theme at all and I'd be unhappy if they added them to the SSR inventory because I think they're ugly! Sorry to anyone that likes them

I am doubtful that the treehouse villas will become part of SSR.

The treehouse villas don't fit in with the theme of SSR, there are limited ameneties, and there doesn't look to be a direct road from the treehouse villas to SSR. I just don't see DVC declaring these units into SSR, and I don't see this as a standalone DVC resort.

I could be wrong, but I don't think these will be DVC. We'll have to wait and see...

There seems to be a number of reasons that whatever these end up being that they won't be DVC, but the speculation is quite fun & it would be cool to have something new at SSR that might quiet some of its critics! The direct road from SSR to the treehouse area could be problematic, but if the renovations were included as part of SSR, would it be different than having to drive from check-in to one of the units back towards the main gate aside from it being unconventional to leave the "main" resort area?

Disney's proposal is dismantling & removing the existing Treehouse units & replacing them with new structures so theming could be addressed in the architectural design of the new structures like Steward's Tower Villas or Clubhouse Villas in keeping with the Saratoga racing theme.

Are the Treehouses closer to OKW than SSR?
