Default What Generation Are You?

So, a throwaway comment in another thread about Millennials revealed that we have several active members from GenY.

I thought it would be interesting to have our assumptions checked and find out what generation members here fall into.

Make your selection based on the generation you most identify with if the years don't quite line up. They are just for guidance since different sociologists and pollsters come up with different year boundaries.

In your comments, it would be interesting to know if you are an owner or a renter and how you feel about your connection with DVC from your generational perspective.

I'm GenX, though I miss the cut-off by 1 day. I clearly fit more in GenX than in Boomer, even though my mother was a Silent instead of a Boomer.

Disney was a part of my whole life but not overwhelming so - only two trips, once as a toddler in DL, and once at WDW in 1977. When Epcot opened, my folks went without me (I was in college), and I thought, "Yeah, whatever."

Went once more after college in 1988 and only had mild interest until 2000s. Then, we were bit with a vengeance and DVC soon followed. To me, it's both part of the magic and a strategic/economic decision to keep enjoying the magic.

No kids, so our patterns likely won't change. If we lose interest, we'll sell and move on, but after 12 years of DVC, that's not likely any time soon.

early boomer, 1949.

when i see movies/shows that actually came from the period of my youth (or having taking place during that era), it's hard to believe that things have changed so much (e.g., the deuce set in the seventies). boomers have lived through lots.

i had a board game of disneyland and adored walt disney's world of color on sunday nights that i was able to skip "training union." i didn't make my first trip to wdw until my mid thirties, a bit later i went to disneyland on a business trip. i bought dvc in the early 90's.

Millennials are from the early 80s-mid 90s. They’ve never called us early 80s kids Gen X. I think there should be a group between Gen X and Millenials. We’re our own group.

GenX here. On the younger end, but still born in the 70s. Neither parent were Boomers which is supposedly another deciding factor in being a GenX. Working on raising a future GenZ DVCer

We own and have for 15 years now. I grew up with Disney and it stuck with me. First trip was `82 just before Epcot opened.
