Default Point transfer?

I have a AKL reservation booked with my PVB points. I just bought a SSR contract with a different use year. Can I swap the reservation so itís under the SSR points.

You'll have to call MS and double check that it would work. To do so they'll have to transfer the points and even when they are just within a single owners accounts they like them to be current points. So, if they are current UY and can be used for the timing of that reservation then yes, you probably can do that. But outline with MS what you want to do to double check.

If there is availability, you can just book those nights with your SSR points and cancel the reservation with the PVB points.

Agreed. If it's available just book with the new contract and cancel the old. If it's not, then it won't work.

Yes you should be able to. The reservation was booked in the 7 month booking window so member service can reallocate the Saratoga points into the reservation. If it was booked in the 11 month window you would not be able to.

Not sure if you can....different use year so you will have to transfer the points to the other use year. But since it is in the 7 month window, it should be possible.

Simple answer is yes, you should be able to do. All will depends on what other steps may require to achieve that. Granted you have contract in same membership.

If you have in other membership, points can be transfer to archive this without borrowing.

I see we are sort of “yes, no, yes” on this. My experience in exactly the same situation was a “no”. We held a CCV reservation on an existing membership and purchased a loaded contract with a different UY/membership. We wanted to reallocate using the new banked points and MS said “no can do”as the unit and dates were no longer available. We chose to cancel, book elsewhere with the new points and waitlist the original CCV and it came through shortly - likely grabbed our original booking. Just our experience FWIW last spring prior to online modification. Oh, BTW all the above was inside 7 mo.

Good luck with it. I would assume a cancel/rebook is necessary and hope for better.

After you call member service please let us know if they will let you reallocate your points.

These days DVC MS has become much more strict on doing certain things within your membership. Things that used to be easy, now - not so much.

Honestly, if I were you, I'd just call DVC MS and explain to them what you want to do and see what they say.

Let us know how this all turns out.
