Cast member harassment on Facebook

Okay, I don't know exactly where this belongs, but something completely unprecedented happened to me today.

On Monday, the official WDW FB page posted about the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game that is coming soon to the park. I commented on it saying that I saw a kid playing it when I was there a couple weeks back, guessing that it was a test phase or a soft opening. Then someone, claiming to be a WDW cast member, sent me a private FB message calling me a liar, that I'm wrong and he's right because he works there, and all this other stuff.

What happened to common courtesy???

Sorry to hear about that. Is there a Contact Us link on that page? I might be tempted to send a copy of that PM to them if that is possible.

Unfortunately, all the official Disney FB pages are "private."

It's been testing for a few weeks now, I don't know why someone claiming to be a CM would say otherwise.

I don't mind being wrong; I was just shocked that the dude came at me the way he did. I would NEVER have known he was a cast member by that attitude.

And his final statement to me was "just remember if I and others did not work at Disney you would not have a place to vacation"

Reply to the message. Tell the CM to get back on the bus and drive...

I would take a screenshot and send an email complaint to wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com. I like markandtodd's suggestion, too.

Well sadly I see more and more CM carry over this into the parks as well. I would screen shot it and send it to the link of PP . Nothing might happen heck it might just be a wannaB CM , i have ran across plenty of them as well. The ony thing that will stop this downfall of CM attitude is if we let Disney know .

Oh I so don't want to be that CM now. How much you wanna bet this is some 22 yr old wannabee? I find in the social networking world there are a frightfully lot of arrogant little snots who write like they've been raised by wolves. And yet they don't realize everything they say is being linked directly to their names and personal history.

Back when the WWW began (10 years ago) everyone was using nicknames. The teeny boppers started out being jerks, but quickly learned and rehabilitated themselves into responsible communicators. Now they are immortalizing their stupidity.
