Default Confirming Grand Californian reservations?

I recently worked out a deal to rent points for a stay at the Grand Californian this coming year, and I realized later on that there doesn't seem to be a convenient system for verifying reservations, compared to WDW.

Any recommendations for confirming that the room is reserved, under the correct names, etc. I do have the initial confirmation E-Mail, but I'm a worrier by nature, so I thought it might be good to have other ways to check it out.

Thoughts? Ideas?

The owner should have forwarded you a copy of the e-mail they got from MS with your rental, but you are correct, that information often drops off the system at DL. The reservation system at DL is different from WDW.

I would just call DL and confirm the ressie using your confirmation number the owner provided you when he/she made the reservation.

The hotel phone number is: 1 (714) 635-2300

It will show up on MDE if you link the reservation.

GoofyGirl -- I hadn't thought to use MDE for DL reservations. I'm going to go link my Christmas trip right now.

I was unable to link my upcoming VGC stay on MDE. I'm not sure it works for California reservations. Am I doing something incorrectly?

DLR resorts don't appear under MDE. MDE is exclusively in Florida.

That's what I thought... I got excited that GoofyGrl said it would work on MDE. Thanks for the clarification.

Looking at my December VGC trip on MDE right now. Perhaps due to it being a DVC reservation number, but it works in some cases, at least.

Only shows check-in and check-out, so not tremendously useful regardless.

Here was my experience: I put in my DVC reservation number and the system then couldn't find it and wanted me to select a resort and check-in day. On the pull down there is no selection for VGC. I didn't call tech support.

Well... from a renters perspective, IMO, I think just calling is the easiest thing to do.

Thank you Brian5581 for letting me know that you can find a VGC ressie on the MDE.

I had linked my Sept VGC to MDE............

I was very surprised when someone else told me it could be done but I tried it and it worked.
