Pros: Everything!
Cons: Temporary walkway closure to DTD.

Just returned from a week stay (Oct 30-Nov 5) in the Paddock section of the resort. Wanted to check out the new pool and with PAPs in tow, the mice were eager to spend time at DisneyQuest. A bit concerned with the walkway being closed but that proved to be a non-factor.

Our room was ready upon arrival, 6500 building. First floor. Met the request to be in the Paddock but it was the furthest building from the pool. Only positive of this location was across the street from Congress Park bus stop and a simple walk to the Market Place in DTD. The only negative was the room smelled. Kudos to SSR staff for getting us into a new room in the 5100 building. Fresh and clean thankfully.

That building is next to the pool and Paddock bus stop. Easy walk to the Carriage House and the "middle" stop of the buses is a bonus with less peeps crowding on compared to say the last stop of the Springs.

Transportation overall was great. Couple longer waits but nothing of hissy fit proportions.

Food options remain among the best on property. Artist Pallete is an excellent QS option and one of the few that accepts the TiW card for a 20% discount! Nice to see new items like the lobster and buffalo chicken sandwiches. Breakfast and lunch flatbread options.

Being at DisneyQuest we used the walking path from the West Side more than anything back to SSR. We did walk back from the MarketPlace via the sidewalk along the street, passing the closed walkway and back onto property where the DTD buses exit after the Congress Park stop. Maybe 15 minutes.

This trip confirms our very high opinion of SSR. It's not for everyone or every stay but it will never both me to be a guest here.

Pros:
Cons:

SSR is our home resort alon with BCV
when we visit WDW with the kids ,we are usually stay in BCV just to be close to the action, but when trip is only wor me and my wife.... nothing better than SSR !!
quiet and far away from everything that noisey .
Transportation was never a problem symply because we always have a rental car .To have a car in your hands is the only way to navigate WDW
we learn it very fast
And it is sooo cheap
get it right in the orlando airport ,15 minutes - you are in WDW!!

Pros: Great location, close to DD, quiet peaceful setting away from hustle and bustle
Cons: Further away from the parks

Really like SSR it is one of the most underrated resorts. It is a quiet setting and makes one feel as though they do not need to be a park commando
